The Tennessee Republican Assembly meets the second Saturday of each month at the Shoney's Restaurant on 407 Thompson Lane in Nashville. The meeting begins promptly at 9:00 AM with food and fellowship beginning 30 minutes prior at 8:30 AM. If you would like to see what we are up to we would love for you to join us. MAP IT
TRA Annual Convention held January 28th
The Tennessee Republican Assembly Annual Convention held January 28, 2012 was a great success. Those who were not able to attend missed a real treat. We heard from Speaker Pro-Tem Judd Matheny concerning redistricting and what it means to Tennessee followed by a presentation by Albert Tieche on TN Voter ID Laws. During the lunch hour we heard a most informative discussion by Ralph Weber, CEO of Medi-Bid concerning the impact of Obamacare vs. private free enterprise alternatives.
Our Key-Note speaker was Sharron Angle, Nevada’s Republican Candidate against Harry Read in the 2010 election for U.S. Senate. Ms Angle also conducted a book signing of her new book ‘Right Angle.’
